Engelska Skolan Norr is a Cambridge Associate School. In 2024 it achieved Cambridge Associate School certification, reflecting its commitment to international qualifications. In 2025 Year 9 students sat Cambridge IGCSE examinations in English as a Second Language and Mathematics, with all candidates achieving success and 34% of grades at A or A. External candidates also achieved a 100% pass rate. From 2025, IGCSE courses in English as a Second Language, Mathematics, and English Literature are available, and the school serves as an examination centre for external candidates with several schools confirmed to have students sit IGCSE examinations in the Spring Term of 2026. Cambridge qualifications are recognised by leading universities as equivalent to UK GCSE and A Levels, and about 95% of students who complete these qualifications progress directly to university.
Students can participate in creative learning forums, including a school choir and a school band. These activities support artistic development and teamwork as part of the school program. Participation in these forums complements academic study and fosters collaboration among students. The school's chess program also provides opportunities to compete in local and online tournaments, building strategic thinking and camaraderie.
Engelska Skolan Norr offers a bilingual education, teaching the Swedish curriculum with half of all lessons conducted in English. It was the first independent school in Sweden to provide a bilingual programme. Ninth grade students have the opportunity to prepare for and graduate with the Cambridge Exam in English. Since October 2013, Engelska Skolan Norr has been part of the Atvexa group.
Engelska Skolan Norr offers an after-school programme called Fritids for students in F-Class through Grade 5. The programme provides activities that promote a healthy lifestyle, environmental awareness, intellectual curiosity and lasting friendships. The hands-on, practical approach strengthens learning and builds interpersonal skills, with the aim of nurturing a thirst for knowledge that carries into later schooling. There is also a Chess club open to all students, which participates in local and online tournaments and has won several major tournaments in recent years.
ESN Class Development Program is an inclusive program that celebrates all students' achievements and not only rewards a few. Students work together as a full class toward a common goal rather than in small competitive teams or groups, to reach targets designed in accordance with the school's curriculum. Through this method, students develop social skills and improve their learning in a collaborative, whole-class setting.
Fritids activities promote a healthy lifestyle, environmental awareness, intellectual curiosity and lasting friendships. School meals are prepared by Kleins Kitchen and offered with two daily dishes, a vegetarian option, and a varied homemade salad buffet. Healthy snacks are served in the afternoon for students registered for Fritids.

The Roslagstullsbacken and Alba Nova campuses accommodate about 540 pupils, with each student receiving a Chromebook and access to a library of over 9,000 books. A Vetenskapens Hus partnership provides university-level science, mathematics and technology activities. In 2024–25 ESN Norr became a Cambridge Associate School and operates an IGCSE examination centre for external candidates; from 2025, ESL, Maths and English Literature IGCSE courses are available. Approximately 95% progress to university follows Cambridge qualifications.
