There are about 340 students enrolled at Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm, representing roughly 55–60 nationalities. The largest contingents are from India, Sweden and the United States, with host-country students making up about 10–15%. About 215 students are in the Primary School and about 125 in the Middle School, and the vast majority are in Sweden on a temporary basis with around 25–30% student turnover each year. The campus is located in Östermalm, Erik Dahlbergsgatan 58-62, and shares facilities with the bilingual school; the school has 16 full-size classrooms and about 12 smaller rooms for EAL, Swedish, music and learning support. The curriculum uses the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) in Grades 1–5 and the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) in Grades 6–9, with a bilingual approach of approximately 50% English and 50% Swedish.
The Parent Teachers Association is a registered association with the objectives of supporting the best educational, social and cultural environment for the students, fostering open communication between parents and staff, and organizing events that bring the school community together while raising funds. The association promotes and strengthens the Shared Vision, Personal Goals and the Global Citizenship and Community Exchange across the school community. The PTA's mission is to support the growth of the educational, social and cultural environment for students, parents, teachers and staff, while encouraging advocacy and integration. The ASEP (After School Enrichment Program) is a flagship project of the PTA and has been in operation for 5 years, providing varied extracurricular after-school activities for Grades 1–9; ASEP is managed in association with school staff and is not part of FRITIDS. Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm is a private international school for ages 5 to 15, offering IPC in Grades 1–5 and IMYC in Grades 6–9, with an American curriculum framework and Common Core standards for Math and Literacy. English is the language of instruction; modern language courses are taught separately, and dedicated spaces support EAL and Swedish language learning. The school is authorized by Swedish authorities and supervised by the Swedish School Inspection, reflecting its international focus within the Swedish system. The campus is a courthouse renovated in 2011 in Östermalm, Stockholm, shared with a bilingual school. Facilities include a library, 16 classrooms, 12 rooms for EAL, Swedish and Music, plus a movement room and a PE hall. Grade 9 culminates in a six-month Discovery Project; Discovery Enrichment classes include film production, chess and MUN, with community links through the Global Citizenship Program.
