The applicable monthly maximum fees under Göteborgs Stad's 2026 fee schedule are shown below (these are municipality billing amounts):

- Children aged 6–9 years (youngest child in household): highest monthly fee SEK 1,231.
- Second child: highest monthly fee SEK 616.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Fritids and other municipal childcare fees are billed on a monthly basis by the municipality. Income control is performed and adjustments can be made after invoicing (after‑billing or refunds) if declared income differs from tax records. Uppsägning (notice) rules and handling follow municipal regulations (notice periods and adjustments).

- Optional, school‑run extra activities (where offered at a given IES school) may be charged separately and billed per term; for example, some IES schools operate a paid “Junior Club” and charge a term fee (example: IES Nacka has charged SEK 3,200 per term for its Junior Club). Such voluntary charges for excursions or optional programmes are permitted under the regulations that govern school activity charges and are billed separately when applied. Personal school supplies and footwear are the responsibility of the family.

- The school does not list a compulsory uniform requirement; any specific dress or equipment requirements (e.g., sport kit) are treated as ordinary personal equipment costs rather than a school tuition charge.

Refunds and cancellations

- There is no tuition to refund for compulsory schooling. For paid childcare (fritids) billed under Göteborgs Stad rules, adjustments and refunds are processed following municipal procedures (income control can trigger after‑billing or refunds; notice/termination rules apply and are handled according to municipal practice). If a family has paid too much or too little, the municipality corrects the invoicing in accordance with its fee rules.

Fee payment options

- Municipal childcare and related charges are typically invoiced by the municipality and can be paid using standard municipal payment channels (e‑invoice / e‑faktura and autogiro are supported options for municipal invoices). Parents should expect municipal-style invoice payment methods for any municipal‑level charges.

- Separately billed school charges for optional activities (where they exist) are normally issued as invoices to guardians and are paid by the methods stated on the invoice; some IES schools bill optional term activities by invoice (term‑based). Parents should follow the payment instructions on the invoice for those items.
