Economics Project on Externalities and Social Welfare was conducted by GCE A Level Economics students. Nine primary students participated in the 10th National SIP Abacus Competition; Mokshith Seelam from Grade V was the overall winner at Foundation Level 4, with Vanshika Patel, Areeb Rattansi and Aahil Rattansi as runners-up. Akili ni Mali Interschool Quiz Competition involved four A Level students—Ayman Arif Haji, Benjamin Issa Ngwegwe, Shreya Petwal and Vivan Hitesh Hirji—who finished in second place.
Workshop on Percussion Musical Instruments was organized on 8 January 2025 in collaboration with the High Commission of India. Toyota Dream Car Contest involved 30 primary students; Neev Chohan of Grade VI won at the national level and received a certificate and a gift voucher. Tanzania on Canvas Painting Competition featured Meenakshi Kodthiwada (Grade VII); the artwork was published and exhibited. The Annual Creative Writing Competition was held on 5 February 2025 with level-based categories and awards.
French and Swahili are offered as IGCSE language subjects. The Cambridge IGCSE and GCE AS & A Level syllabuses include English, French and Swahili as language options.
Competition Month in January featured inter-house extracurricular competitions such as elocution, recitation, debate, creative writing and essay writing. The event highlighted recitation of the poem Don't Let Anyone Steal Your Dreams by Grade VI and speeches on Moral Values by Grade VII. Winners received certificates during the morning assemblies.
A Charity and Awareness Walk was held on 18 January 2025 in collaboration with CRDB to support Tumaini La Maisha's Piggy Bank Campaign, raising 14,080,000 Tanzanian shillings. Participation in community outreach programs is emphasized as part of student merit for university applications.
Four A Level students—Ayman Arif Haji, Benjamin Issa Ngwegwe, Shreya Petwal and Vivan Hitesh Hirji—participated in the Akili ni Mali Interschool Quiz Competition and finished in second place. A Second Term Parent-Teacher Meeting was held on 7 March 2025, with a School Committee meeting reported for follow-up.
East African Chipkizi Swimming Championship 2024 saw Abbas Salim Abdulali win eight gold medals and earn Best Overall Swimmer (under 15) and Iron Man prizes. Dubai Swimming Championship 2025 included Crissa Dennis Dillip winning a silver medal in 50 m backstroke and a bronze in 200 m backstroke. Kenya Aquatics Swimming Competitions 2025 featured participants earning multiple medals, and the Dar es Salaam Development Swimming Competition saw several students place in various events. The school also held Annual Sports Days for kindergarten and primary, and a secondary sports week, with medals and certificates awarded at term's end.
Academic International School (AIS) offers early-years to upper-secondary education in international community. Nursery provides an inclusive program supporting academic, social and physical development, while the Primary School follows a rigorous UK ISSEB syllabus with core subjects English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies; Grades II–III add Kiswahili, French and ICT; Grades IV–VII expand with Geography, Civics, History, French and ICT. The Secondary School, affiliated with Cambridge International Education, delivers Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge GCE AS & A Level programs with wide range of subjects including English, French, Swahili, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History, Economics, Accounting and Business Studies. The school operates three registered divisions—Academic International Nursery School, Primary School, and Secondary School—sharing administrative arrangements. Established in 1994, AIS serves an international student body and follows a year that runs from mid-August/September to June, with July–August holidays.
