Performing Arts at HOPAC consists of Drama and Music. The focus is on developing imagination and creative thinking, for the glory of God. Primary and Middle School have classes in Music and Drama; Senior School may participate in School Productions, the Worship Band and other activities. Primary performs Christmas productions, Middle School participates in the Easter Service, and the school also stages a literary play, a musical and a talent show.
International Day is a highlight where students showcase their culture through dance, song and skits. Music and Drama are offered to Primary and Middle School, with Senior School participating in productions and other cultural events. The Performing Arts programme connects culture with creative expression across age groups.
The Service Learning Program is an essential part of the HOPAC curriculum. Weekly service programmes connect Middle and Senior School students with community partners in Dar es Salaam. The school partners with seven local schools and engages with the Sala Sala community as part of its service work. Annual Service Emphasis Week involves the whole school serving in schools, hospitals, orphanages and NGOs, with dates 27 March – 2 April.
The school has full-sized football pitch, two basketball courts with adjustable hoops, two youth-sized football pitches, a 25-meter swimming pool and a 200-meter running track. The facilities host regular games and tournaments, and external clubs and schools also use the grounds. HOPAC fields football (Term 1) and basketball (Term 2) teams for U11–U18, with year-round swim team training for Primary and Secondary and opportunities to compete in developmental and competitive galas. Rugby, Ultimate Frisbee and Volleyball are offered as after-school activities.
Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC) is a private, fully accredited, non‑profit international school in Dar es Salaam serving Kindergarten through Grade 12. The British Cambridge curriculum guides learning from Kindergarten through IGCSE and A Levels, with the Primary Programme for early years and Cambridge syllabi guiding IGCSE/AS/A Level courses. Classes are taught by licensed, English teachers, and the school incorporates a Christian perspective. The twelve-acre campus overlooks the Indian Ocean and includes a learning resource center and a dedicated performing arts building. Facilities include a football pitch, two basketball courts, two youth pitches, a 25-metre pool and a 200-metre track.
