Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Teamwork, mutual respect and appreciation of different cultural backgrounds are central to Laureate International School's environment. The school partners with parents to support students in reaching their fullest potential. It aims to prepare students to become productive, ethical and responsible citizens who contribute to society. The mission states that students receive the best possible quality education in a caring and supportive environment. It enables each student to be independent, self-disciplined, confident and responsible in the ever-changing global context.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English is taught through a strong English program with British orientation. The Cambridge Pathway provides a clear route for educational success from age 3 to 19, starting with Cambridge Early Years and continuing through Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary to Cambridge Advanced. Cambridge Advanced offers Cambridge International AS and A Levels. The Tanzanian National Curriculum is provided to meet national requirements. Languages offered include English, French, Arabic and Swahili.

The Laureate International School network in Tanzania provides a British-oriented English program alongside the Tanzanian National Curriculum across multiple campuses in Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar. From age 3 to 18, students follow the Cambridge Pathway beginning with Cambridge Early Years, then Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary, Cambridge Upper Secondary and Cambridge Advanced, with Cambridge IGCSE offered at the Upper Secondary level and Cambridge International AS and A Levels in the Advanced stage. The school offers Cambridge Primary and Secondary under the Cambridge framework, supported by a language department delivering Literature, English, French, Arabic and Swahili. With around 3,000 students from more than 10 nationalities, about 80 percent speak more than one language. Academic facilities include departments in Language, Science, Humanity, Business & Account, and Mathematics & ICT. Extracurriculars feature events such as International Culture Day and educational tours showcased in the Education Gallery, reflecting a multilingual, multicultural community today.
