Eligibility: Applicants must possess a foreign passport and be able to obtain a Turkish residence permit to enroll. Contact the Admissions Counselor to receive more information, ask questions, or schedule a campus tour; inform about any special needs. Submit an enrollment application via the online form and upload the following documents: the child's passport, the child's residence permit (if available at enrollment time), a recent photo, at least 2 years of previous school report cards translated into English if necessary, the name and email address of a current teacher or principal for a reference, childhood vaccination record, standardized test results if any, and reports documenting special needs. Admissions testing may be required as determined by the admissions counselor. Completed applications are reviewed by the Admissions Committee and the acceptance decision is communicated to the family by email. A Capital Fee must be paid to confirm and reserve the child's place. Registration follows, including agreement to follow the guidelines in the Parent/Student Handbook, and a login to the school management system (Sycamore) along with any supplemental forms.
The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) provides financial aid for families with a genuine need for monetary aid in order for their child to attend Oasis. Resources for TAP are limited and the primary responsibility for paying school fees lies with the family. The TAP application is used to review the needs of applicants and provide assistance, and the information is kept confidential. The TAP is considered on its own merits and on an individual basis, any grants awarded are valid for one year, and the school may require documentation to verify income.
Oasis International School of Ankara is an English-language international school offering an American-based curriculum from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school is part of the Oasis International Schools network and is accredited by the Middle States Association and approved by the Turkish Ministry of Education. Students from about 70 countries join a diverse, global community and study toward an American diploma with Advanced Placement and honors options. Classes are typically 15 to 20 students, and the school day runs 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The campus in İncek features customized science and computer labs, a well-stocked library, 40 classrooms with wireless and audio/visual equipment, two cafeterias, an on-site snack shop, a 300-seat theater, and separate arts and music spaces. Outdoor facilities include three synthetic turf soccer fields and a basketball court; indoor spaces include two gymnasiums and a weight room. Oasis emphasizes character, service-learning, and servant leadership.
