Founded in 2004, Oasis International School of Ankara began when a group of expatriate parents partnered with the Oasis International Schools network to establish a new school in Ankara. The aim was to offer a high-quality, English-based education via an American-style curriculum with a global worldview and a focus on character. Oasis is part of the Oasis International Schools network, headquartered in the U.S., and is accredited by the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools and fully approved by the Turkish Ministry of Education. The 2025-2026 school year marks Oasis's 22nd year serving the international community in Ankara, with a student body of over 350 students representing more than 70 countries.
The school's student body includes students from more than 70 countries. The school hosts community events including the First Day of School, Fall Festival, Christmas, and International Day. International Day features a flag parade with students carrying their country flags, traditional dress, and an international cafe with cultural foods.
Oasis has an active Parents For Oasis (PFO) program. The PFO focuses on providing parental support for ongoing school activities and to build positive relationships among students, teachers, staff, administrators and parents. Its objectives include lending aid to teachers and staff, facilitating fellowship within the community, assisting with special events, and welcoming new families. There are many events and activities organized by the PFO that offer opportunities for the community to socialize and participate. Questions about PFO events can be directed to pfo@oisankara.net.
