The Guidance and Psychological Counseling Service monitors students' social development for both students and staff and conducts annual activities to support individual and group development and well-being. From the preparatory class through 12th grade and beyond graduation, it uses a cohesive approach to develop life skills. Nine core themes guide activities at all levels, designed around observed student needs. Graduates acquire core competencies in adaptation, relationships, psychological knowledge and skills, resilience, decision making, coping with crises, healthy living, and career orientation. The service provides individual meetings, an orientation program for new students, study-skills guidance (time management, learning styles, anxiety management, concentration), career guidance, and domestic and international university admissions consultations.
Education is delivered in three languages: French, Turkish, and English. The prep class provides intensive French instruction, with a weekly timetable of 28 hours in French (including science and French), 4 hours in Turkish, 4 hours in English, 2 hours of physical education, and 1 hour of guidance. After the prep year, students who pass French and Turkish advance to 9th grade. In the four-year high school program, Turkish-taught subjects include Turkish Language and Literature, Geography, History, Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, Civics and Ethics, and Physical Education; French-taught subjects include French, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Art and Art History. From 9th grade onward, students are guided toward academic tracks: Science, Turkish-Math, or Social Sciences. Students have the opportunity to earn international certificates during bilingual education: DELF and DALF for French, and IELTS for English. Model United Nations activities support language development in French and English.
Mental wellbeing is supported through educational guidance targeting cognitive, social, and emotional development, including study methods, time management, learning styles, anxiety coping, concentration, and personal/social growth. The service provides individual counseling, school guidance program implementation, orientation for new students, and group activities to promote well-being. It also offers higher-education counseling, career guidance, and information seminars for students and parents to reduce stress around academic planning.
Violence prevention is included as part of the guidance program, delivered through informative conferences and classroom activities to raise awareness of different forms of violence and to develop coping strategies when faced with such situations. All counseling services operate in an environment where confidentiality principles are prioritized.
