Tarabya British Schools is part of the Horizon Education Group. Dr. Mehmet Gültekin is the founder of Horizon Group and serves as Mütevelli Heyeti Başkanı (Trustee Chair) of Tarabya British Schools. The school blends the British and Turkish curricula to satisfy both the Turkish National Curriculum and the British National Curriculum. It is authorised by Cambridge International Examinations to offer Cambridge Primary, Secondary and higher level programmes, including IGCSE and A-Levels, and earned the Patrons Accreditation of COBIS in 2021. Tarabya British Schools operates across two campuses: the Tarabya Campus and Yeniköy Campus.
Tarabya British Schools maintains a vibrant school community with a programme of events, clubs and guest programs. The events calendar features World Book Day, World Art Day, and End-of-Year Carnival, alongside university fairs such as the UK Top University Fair. Student clubs include Debate Club and Model United Nations, among others that foster student leadership and teamwork. The School Parent Association (Okul Aile Birliği) runs social and charitable projects. One project campaigns to provide winter clothing for students at Nardağı Primary School in Hakkari, organized via cake sales at the Yeniköy campus, with all proceeds directed to the campaign. The Association has supported UNICEF through concerts and other charity initiatives such as Çocuklar İyi Olsun Diye and Rehber Köpekler Derneği. It also coordinates projects such as Dilekler Gerçek Oluyor I–VI and the Okul Aile Birliğimizin Projeleri, contributing to community outreach across school campuses. The accreditation logos on the PTA materials include the British Chamber of Commerce, the Duke of Edinburgh award program, Cambridge, and other international affiliations.
Tarabya British Schools is a Turkish-International institution that blends the British Cambridge framework with the Turkish National Curriculum for students aged 4 to 18.
