The Alliance Française de Nashville (AFN) serves as the primary center for French language and Francophone culture in Middle Tennessee. Located in the Green Hills district, the school provides a specialized learning environment following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Programs are available for all stages, beginning with the "Zouzous" initiative for toddlers aged 12 months to five years, which focuses on early linguistic immersion through play. Older students can progress through "Zigzag" and "Adomania" courses tailored to primary and secondary age groups. A distinctive feature of the school is its community-centric approach, highlighted by the "Friday Apéro" and "Cercle de Conversation," which allow students to practice French in informal, social settings. AFN also hosts the only dedicated French library in Nashville, offering members access to over 2,000 authentic resources. This center provides a direct link to the global Alliance Française network while maintaining a localized, supportive atmosphere for language acquisition.
