GLOBE Academy is a free, public charter school serving kindergarten through eighth grade in the DeKalb County School District of Metro Atlanta. The school operates on two campuses: Lower Campus (K–4) at 1985 Azalea Circle, Decatur, GA 30033, and Upper Campus (5–8) at 4105 Briarcliff Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30345. The curriculum follows American standards and aligns with the Georgia Standards of Excellence and Georgia Frameworks. GLOBE uses a dual-language immersion model in which 50% of academic instruction is in English and 50% in a second language (French, Mandarin Chinese, or Spanish). The pedagogy emphasizes constructivist approaches and a reading/writing workshop framework. After school care and enrichment programs are offered, along with athletics through the MAAC. Notable activities include Civics/Geography Club and the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl, band and chorus, and Cub Scouts. The school emphasizes CREST values—Community, Respect, Empathy, Sustainability, and Trust—and operates as a free public charter.
