Five-Day Boarding is available for students in grades 9–12. Boarders live on campus with about 30 peers and are supported by dedicated Boarding faculty; the dorm is on the third floor of the Main Building, with the Dining Hall on the first and second floors. Access is limited to boarders and Boarding Associates; the weekly schedule includes meals, study time and activities.
Lunch is included in tuition. The Dining Hall is located in the Main Building and meals are served on site.
Hackley School is an independent, K-12 day and boarding school. It is governed by a Board of Trustees that provides strategic oversight and works with the Senior Administrative Team to sustain the school's mission.
Hackley School is a private, coeducational K–12 program with five-day boarding for grades 9–12, located on a 285-acre campus in Tarrytown, New York. The school offers an AP curriculum and a cohesive K–12 experience that ties Lower, Middle and Upper School learning while emphasizing student ownership of education. Lower School centers on collaboration and character through literacy, math, science, Spanish, technology and the library. Middle School adds core English, history, math and science, world languages (Spanish, French, Chinese or Latin), plus enrichment in computer science, health, study skills, arts and athletics. Upper School provides a course catalog featuring independent research, capstone internships, experiences, world languages, and a dedicated College Counseling pathway. A key feature is the Allen Center for the Creative Arts and Technology, opened in 2024, alongside a Science Building and wellness facilities. Signature programs include Independent Research, Global Education and Round Square, with boarding available for qualifying students.
