Hackley School sits on 285 acres of wooded hilltop in Tarrytown, New York, with all three divisions on a unified campus. In 2024, the Allen Center for the Creative Arts and Technology opened, completing work outlined in the School's Master Plan. Over the past 18 years, Hackley has built a new Lower School, a Middle School, a Science Building and the Walter C. Johnson Center for Health and Wellness, while preserving the historic core dating back to 1899. The campus includes more than 200 acres of fields and forest dedicated to athletic fields and outdoor learning, with trails, an orchard, an apiary and a deer-exclusion zone used in the Science curriculum. The School also offers campus rentals through the Director of Auxiliary Programs."
Indoor facilities include the Johnson Center for Health and Wellness, a competition-grade gym with three basketball courts, an eight-lane 25-yard swimming pool, eight squash courts, a seven-lane fencing studio, a dedicated wrestling room, an indoor running track, a fitness center and weight room, a hydrotherapy room, and dedicated dance studios, a wellness studio and nutrition classrooms. Outdoor facilities comprise six soccer fields (two turf and four grass), a dedicated grass field with stadium lighting, six tennis courts, a six-lane track, two baseball fields, two softball fields, fields for boys' and girls' lacrosse and field hockey, and 6.4 miles of running trails."
Allen Center for the Creative Arts and Technology serves as a hub for arts and technology learning, opened in 2024. The campus also includes a Science Building and the Walter C. Johnson Center for Health and Wellness, with Lower School and Middle School facilities added in recent years. Hackley Libraries provide the Santomero Lower School Library, the Middle School Library and the Sternberg Upper School Library, supporting K–12 research and study across all divisions.
Performing Arts offerings include Drama and Music across Lower, Middle and Upper Schools, with productions such as The Addams Family staged at the Allen Center for the Creative Arts and Technology. The school values leadership and service through Student Government (Community Council), student clubs and activities, service-learning and peer mentoring (including the Hudson Scholars program). Hackley supports more than 25 performance-based arts groups and a broad array of clubs and community-engagement initiatives, with opportunities for leadership, collaboration and real-world learning.
Hackley School is a private, coeducational K–12 program with five-day boarding for grades 9–12, located on a 285-acre campus in Tarrytown, New York. The school offers an AP curriculum and a cohesive K–12 experience that ties Lower, Middle and Upper School learning while emphasizing student ownership of education. Lower School centers on collaboration and character through literacy, math, science, Spanish, technology and the library. Middle School adds core English, history, math and science, world languages (Spanish, French, Chinese or Latin), plus enrichment in computer science, health, study skills, arts and athletics. Upper School provides a course catalog featuring independent research, capstone internships, experiences, world languages, and a dedicated College Counseling pathway. Signature programs include Independent Research, Global Education and Round Square, with boarding available for qualifying students.
