School meals and related fees

- Breakfast is offered free to all students. Lunch is available for a fee; the full-price lunch cost is USD 4.80 per meal. Billing schedule and payment terms

- Lunch payments: billed/collected at the time families submit the monthly menu; payment is due with the menu submission.

Boarding fees

- There are no boarding or residential programs at LAMB; the school operates as a day, public charter elementary program (PreK3–5).

Other costs and fees

- Enrichment and activity costs: Some optional enrichment activities (for example, certain BASE extracurriculars or seasonal offerings) may carry additional fees.

- Meal pre-ordering and related charges: full-price lunch is USD 4.80 per meal and must be pre-ordered monthly. Families may qualify for free or reduced-cost lunches through the standard application.

- Miscellaneous school-required forms and health documentation: standard health and residency verification forms and meal-application forms are required as part of enrollment; these are administrative requirements rather than tuition charges.

Refund information

- The BASE program registration/entry fee (USD 100) is explicitly non-refundable. No tuition refunds apply because instruction is provided tuition-free as a public charter school. For other refundable situations (for example, refunded meal payments or refunds for cancelled optional activities), individual program policies govern refunds at the time of purchase (specific refund rules for those items are handled under the relevant program policies).

Fee payment options and practical notes about payment

- Lunch payment timing: payment is required when the family submits the monthly lunch menu.

- BASE payment timing and responsibilities: families pay the registration fee at enrollment and are responsible for monthly program fees and any late fees indicated by program rules; BASE includes snacks in the fee and some activities may require additional payments.

- The school's publicly posted pages specify payment timing and amounts for the items above; specific accepted methods of payment (for example, exact online payment portals, credit card acceptance, ACH/bank transfer, or in-person payment options) are addressed through the school's family-facing enrollment and billing processes.

Latin American Montessori Bilingual Public Charter School is a public charter in the District of Columbia offering Montessori education in English and Spanish for students ages 3 to 12. It operates in multi‑age Primary (PK3–Kindergarten) and Elementary (Lower and Upper Elementary, 1st–5th) communities, with the goal of achieving fluency in both languages by fifth grade. PK3 is Spanish‑only; PK4 and Kindergarten are bilingual, with one language taught in the morning and the other in the afternoon and a language‑specific guide in each session. Lower and Upper Elementary provide instruction in both languages, supported by two teachers per classroom. The Montessori Cosmic Curriculum, guided by the Great Lessons, spans history, geography, anthropology, biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, botany, and ecology, and aligns with the Common Core in DC. The school honors Latin American heritage, with staff from Latin American countries or descendants of Latino families, and its mission is a bilingual Montessori community rooted in Latin American culture. Community involvement is central through the Neighborhood Community Committee, PAZ values, and an active Board of Directors with broad family engagement.
