Montessori-certified teachers meet students where they are and support their discoveries, following Maria Montessori's teachings while embracing technology and progression. Students develop creative thinking, solution seeking, ethical decision-making, communication, collaboration, and innovation. Montessori at LMS is based on beliefs that children are naturally eager to learn, deserve respect, and require nurturance of physical, social, emotional and cognitive development, uninterrupted work time, freedom within an ordered environment, and peer learning.
Art, farming, library, music, physical education, and Spanish programs are part of the LMS curriculum.
Language and Cultural Studies are part of the curriculum, and a Spanish language program is offered.
Affinity groups are offered.
