Milwaukee German Immersion School serves K4–5th grade. MGIS students are taught almost all subjects in German, including math, science, and social studies. The school offers before- and after-school programming called KinderCamp. A Library Media Center supports academics, and students can participate in extracurricular activities such as art, chess, choir, dance, and a Green Team. MGIS has a long history in Milwaukee, earned a National Blue Ribbon Award in 1994, and joined PASCH in 2016.
