The school is a PK-12 international learning community in Scottsdale, Arizona, with a Lower Campus for Preschool–5th Grade and an Upper Campus for 6th–12th Grade. It offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The athletic facilities include a Student Activities Center / Gymnasium with a regulation college-length basketball floor that can be split into two high school courts, a large weight room, an outdoor field for boys and girls soccer and flag football with seating, on-campus beach volleyball courts with high-quality sand, and an outdoor sport court. Fine arts and technology spaces support the curriculum, including Visual Arts, Music and Performing Arts, and a Media Arts program with state-of-the-art equipment and a post-production lab.
Student Activities Center / Gymnasium hosts basketball and volleyball with a college-length floor and can be divided into two HS courts for simultaneous play. The Weight Room contains equipment on par with NCAA Division I programs, including four half racks, Olympic lifting platforms, dumbbell racks, free weights and a Vertimax. The outdoor Field accommodates Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer and Flag Football, with spectator seating up to 500 and a natural grass playing surface. Beach Volleyball courts were constructed on campus in 2014 with high-quality sand. The Outdoor Sport Court is a widely used space for recreation and as an overflow area for practices.
The campus features innovative educational facilities with optimized classroom design and cutting-edge technology. IT / STEM is integrated from Pre-K onward, with robotics and coding included in the curriculum and Dash and Dot robotics used in earlier grades. Every classroom has iPads for student use in addition to the STEM lab computers. Science instruction includes laboratory work and an annual science fair. Fine arts spaces support Visual Arts, Music & Performing Arts, and Media Arts, with state-of-the-art equipment and a dedicated post-production lab. World languages include Spanish, Mandarin and French across grade levels. College Counseling begins in the sixth grade as part of a seven-year program.
Lower School offers after-school enrichment programs in theater, art, science, dance, music, technology and athletics. Middle and High School students participate in a broad range of clubs, including National Junior Honor Society and Model United Nations. Pegasus is Rancho Solano's award-winning literary magazine and Pegasus Monthly is the middle/high school newspaper. Other clubs include Film, Debate, Science Olympiad, Mu Alpha Theta, National Art Honor Society, National Honors Society, Tri-M Music Honors Society, Stang Gang and World Culture clubs. Summer Programs are available through Rancho Solano's camp partners, and the school's Parent Teacher Organization supports extracurricular activities.
Rancho Solano Preparatory School is a PK–12 private day school in Scottsdale, Arizona, with a Lower Campus for PreK–5 and Upper Campus for 6–12.
