Russian Mission School in New York is a general education school delivering instruction in Russian under the Russian Ministry of Education. It serves Grades 1–11, following an Academic Plan that emphasizes Russian language and literature and English. In Grades 1–4 the curriculum includes Mathematics and Informatics, the World Around Us (social studies and natural science), Foundations of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics with optional Orthodox Culture modules, plus Music, Visual Arts, Technology, and Physical Education. For Grades 5–9 the program covers Russian language and literature, English at an advanced level, Mathematics and Informatics, Social and Natural Sciences, Physical Education, Foundations of Safety and Defense, and electives such as Information Culture, Practical Grammar and Stylistics of English, History, and Law. Grades 10–11 include Russian language and literature, Advanced English, Mathematics and Informatics (Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Statistics), Social and Natural Sciences, Physical Education, Foundations of Safety and Defense, an Individual Project, and additional electives.
