The British School of Tashkent - Kalandar Campus

BST has two campuses in the Mirzo-Ulugbek District of Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Kalandar Campus is on Kalandar Street, Building 3; the Sayram Campus is on Sayram Street, Building 30A. Both campuses are located in the upmarket residential suburb of Mirzo-Ulugbek and serve a diverse international community.

Sayram Campus provides Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1; Kalandar Campus provides Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 5.

BST Tashkent follows the English National Curriculum in its secondary phase. Years 7–9 are Key Stage 3, with 11 subjects including two languages, taught by subject specialists; the tutor coordinates academic and personal development and PSHE covers global citizenship and health education. Years 10–11 follow the IGCSE programme, with 8–10 subjects; core English, maths, and science are compulsory, with options including history, geography, ICT, modern foreign languages, music, drama, art, PE, business studies, and travel and tourism. The Sixth Form offers A‑levels, with students typically studying three or four subjects. In 2025, 37% of BST students achieved A and A grades. In IGCSE, 73% of all students achieved at least 1 A or A, with 90% of all IGCSE grades being A–C.

In Key Stage 5, students focus their studies by selecting 3 or 4 A Levels that support their future aspirations, opening the door to university and higher education. The sixth form team provides university admissions support, including guidance and mock interviews, and recent graduates have gone on to study at Cambridge, Sciences Po (Paris), Manchester, Toronto, and Edinburgh.

The school has an Able, Gifted and Talented (A, G & T) program as part of the Primary curriculum.

BST offers places all year round to children aged 18 months to 18 years. Step 1 – Make an enquiry: The admissions team can be contacted via the online admissions form, telephone, or email to express interest in joining BST. They answer questions about eligibility and your child's needs and confirm whether places are available. They provide information to help plan the next steps and timelines.

Step 2 – Take a tour: An in-person campus tour or a virtual tour is available. The tour helps families understand the BST community, facilities, and daily life. It provides an opportunity to meet staff and ask questions about the program and arrangements.

Step 3 – Send us your application: Applications are open all year round. In addition to the online admissions form, supporting documents are required. The school confirms receipt of documents and keeps you updated on progress.

Step 4 – Entrance assessment and parent meeting: The child sits a short entrance assessment, age-appropriate. You'll be invited to meet BST teachers. The assessment and parent meeting help determine suitability and inform next steps.

Step 5 – Confirming your place: If BST confirms the school is the right fit, a place is offered. The offer is contingent on meeting outstanding requirements and the family accepting the place. The school will communicate next steps and a start date.

Step 6 – Starting school: After place confirmation, you'll receive information on uniforms, schedules, transport, and buddy support. A buddy is assigned to support the child during their first days. The school ensures readiness for the first day and provides guidance to families.
