English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English as an Additional Language or Dialect – ATAR & GENERAL is offered for Year 11 & 12; English General is designed for students who speak another language at home and complements the EAL/D ATAR program. SIC English is listed for Year 10. Mental Wellbeing

The Health Centre is the health and safety hub; the health and safety of all students is SIC's top priority. The SIC Health Centre is operated by a team of highly qualified school nurses. 1. Admissions open for Grades 10 and 11 each year. Eligible applicants are students currently in Grade 9 or those in Grade 10 who wish to pursue an international curriculum at SIC. Applicants must have at least Good academic performance and conduct and must pass the English proficiency entrance test, which covers Grammar, Listening, and Speaking. 2. For the MOET curriculum: Must have graduated from lower secondary school (THCS) with academic performance and conduct rated Good or higher. Must take and meet the English proficiency entrance exam. Based on the student's application and exam results, SIC will issue an admission notice and provide enrollment instructions. 3. For returning overseas students: SIC will review the student's previous academic records and consider each case individually. Must take and meet the English proficiency entrance exam.
