The school provides after-school activities designed to develop and build on student interests and talents. They run from 4:15 to 5:00 p.m. most days after school, and a small fee covers the costs of running these activities. Term options include Term 1, Term 2, Term 3, Term 4, and Year-Round. Examples include the SIS Spelling Bee.
Music Club – School Band and Dance Club are offered as after-school activities. The range of activities varies each term to support creativity in the arts. These clubs provide opportunities for performance and creative expression.
Chinese and Vietnamese languages are offered. The International Programme places a heavy focus on English language skills. Languages are integrated within the Singapore-Cambridge framework to support multilingual learning. Students have opportunities to engage with language learning across year groups.
Gardening is offered as an extracurricular activity. Students participate in garden activities to enjoy fresh air and observe plants. Gardening provides an outdoor learning environment and supports mindfulness and well-being.
Bye Bye Plastic Bags is offered as an extracurricular activity to promote environmental awareness and community service. The program encourages actions to reduce plastic waste and supports eco-conscious habits within the school community.
The school runs a Student Council as part of extracurricular activities to provide student leadership opportunities. An Outward-Bound experiential course is built into the International Programme for Year 4 to Year 12 to develop self-confidence, resilience and leadership skills, with a focus on teamwork, perseverance and effective communication.
Sports offered as after-school activities include Dragons Football (U19), Dragons Girls Football (U19), Dragons Basketball (U14 and U19), and Dragons Girls Volleyball. These activities support fitness, teamwork and overall well-being.
Singapore International School @ Danang is a co-educational day school located in the Phu My An New Urban Area, Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang.
