Singapore International School @ Da Nang is part of the Singapore International School network operated by KinderWorld International Group. KinderWorld began expanding into Vietnam in the late 1990s, opening KinderWorld International Kindergarten in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in 2000, followed by Singapore International School campuses there in 2004. The Da Nang campus is a purpose-built facility located in the Phu My An area of Da Nang. By the 2022–2023 academic year, SIS @ Da Nang had its inaugural Year 12 Integrated and A-Level classes, signaling its extended secondary offerings. The school holds accreditation with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and maintains partnerships with Cambridge Assessment International Education and other international bodies.
SIS @ Danang maintains a diverse school community that includes students and staff from international and Vietnamese backgrounds, and the Singapore International School Vietnam Alumni Association (SISVAA) provides a channel for alumni to connect with current students and KinderWorld Vietnam. The campus hosts annual cultural and STEM events, such as Tet Fair to celebrate the Vietnamese New Year and a STEM Fair that showcases student projects. Maker Space and outdoor education programmes form part of campus life, complementing classroom learning. Alumni networks also highlight university destinations and career opportunities for graduates, connecting current students with alumni paths.
The governance model for KinderWorld and SIS networks includes a voice for constituents, including parents. Parent involvement occurs through participation in campus life events and volunteering at activities such as Tet Fair and the STEM Fair. The Singapore International School Vietnam Alumni Association (SISVAA) provides a formal channel for alumni to engage with current students and KinderWorld Vietnam, extending parent engagement beyond daily classes. SISVAA also supports student destinations, helping graduates access higher education opportunities across the globe. Through these channels, parents and alumni contribute to the school community and its links to universities and employers.
