It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
Construction for Viet Hoa International School began on September 10, 2018 in Hoa Phu ward, Thu Dau Mot city, Bình Dương Province. The project was led by Taiwanese entrepreneur Hsieh Ming Hui, in partnership with Tokyu Corporation and other supporters, to provide schooling for children of foreign experts and Vietnamese families. The school was planned to open in September 2019 with about 800 kindergarten and primary students, adopting Montessori and Piaget-inspired approaches. The formal opening ceremony was held on November 30, 2019 in Bình Dương New City, marking the school's launch; the opening language was described as English and Chinese.
VHIS has built an international community that includes expatriate families, notably Taiwanese, Japanese, and Korean professionals, alongside Vietnamese families. An Open House in May 2019 was conducted in Vietnamese, English, and Taiwanese to engage prospective families. The school hosts a range of events and activities, including annual sports days, science camps, and student council elections, which involve students, parents, and staff. VHIS life pages highlight ongoing events and campus activities that reflect a vibrant school culture.
VHIS maintains a Parent Association to coordinate parent involvement in school life. A Parent Representative Board serves as the formal link between families and the school; for the 2025-2026 school year, the board was officially formed. The PTA supports a range of events and activities during the school year, including enrollment events, sports competitions, science camps, and other community programs. Parent Association fees are collected directly by the Parent Association. The association's activities and collaborations with school staff help plan and execute family-facing programs and events.
