IMSL Lusaka is part of the International Maarif Schools network operated by the Turkish Maarif Foundation. The school is located at Plot 2754 Lake Road, Kabulonga, Lusaka, Zambia. The Turkish Government contributed to Zambia's education sector through the establishment of three Maarif schools and two dormitories, with IMSL opening as part of this initiative on March 27, 2025. IMSL was officially handed over to the Turkish Maarif Foundation on April 6, 2025.
Social and cultural activities are a significant part of life at IMSL Lusaka. They include visits to cultural and historical places and social institutions, student clubs, study projects, graduation days, ceremonies, publications, and commemorations. They also feature musical, theatrical and poetry performances, sports tournaments, exhibitions, fairs, scouting, and youth camps.
International Maarif Schools of Lusaka is operated by the Turkish Maarif Foundation, offering Cambridge English certification alongside an international curriculum with Turkish language instruction and dormitory facilities.
