Gimnasio Alessandro Volta is a Bogotá-based Italian school offering a bilingual Colombian-Italian diploma with a complete program from early years to upper secondary. The Volta Method emphasizes excellence and inclusion, pairing Italian and Colombian regulations to deliver Scuola dell'Infanzia through Scuola Secondaria di Secondo Grado. English is taught to CEFR levels C1-C2 and treated as language, literature, and culture to prepare students for Anglophone study worldwide. The curriculum combines Italian instruction delivered via videoconferences from Italy with three languages—Spanish, Italian, and English—across all levels, and provides both Colombian and Italian diplomas at graduation, enabling study in Italy or Colombia. Founded in 1946, Gimnasio Campestre is a traditional all-boys bilingual day school located in northern Bogotá. The institution serves students from prekindergarten through 11th grade, focusing on character education to form "caballeros" (gentlemen) alongside a solid academic program. Instruction is delivered in Spanish and English, with French introduced as an additional language. A defining feature of the curriculum is its proprietary research structure; the school has integrated research into its daily framework for over 25 years through its "Jóvenes Investigadores" initiative and dedicated study centers, publishing student findings in the Astrolabio science journal.
