The educational project is defined by five distinctive elements: the International Baccalaureate as a model for the future, multilingualism, STEAM, sport and well-being, and shaping the world. This initial contact starts the admissions process. A visit may be arranged as part of the process. 2. Visit: An on-site or virtual visit is offered to present the educational project, curricular and teaching aspects, and the buildings and facilities. This visit is the best time to resolve any doubts. Families can experience the school environment during the visit. 3. Registration: After the formal application for admission, students take admission tests according to their stage. Upon passing the tests, the admissions form is completed and all the documentation required for enrolment is received. The final enrolment requires submission of the admissions document and all required documentation.	Admissions 5 steps process: 1. Request an interview: Contact our admissions office to arrange an initial interview regarding your child and to find out about the availability of places in their age group. 2. Visit CEM: Explore our school by either embarking on a guided tour led by our admissions manager or attending one of our Open Days. You'll meet our teachers and leadership team members, gain insights into the school's daily activities and experience the dynamic atmosphere of our educational community. 3. Interview and level test: We facilitate a meeting between the student and the head of the respective department, who will administer a level test for students in year 5 or above. 4. Enrolment: If suitable spots are open, and we find CEM to be a good match for your child, we'll extend an official offer. You can then confirm your enrolment within a specified timeframe. 5. Eligibility: must be enrolled in ESO or 1st Bachillerato during the convoc year and must be a student of Colegio Europeo de Madrid. Disciplinary: no grave or very grave faults during the convoc year. Economic: if a family has special conditions, the school will choose the best option; these discounts are not cumulative or transferable. Academic requirements: • 1st ESO (PAI): be among the four best records for the course, with a minimum grade of 5 in any subject; all subjects must have been passed in the first call; three foreign languages are studied. • 2nd ESO to 1st Bachillerato: be among the four best records for the course, with a minimum grade of 7 in any subject; all subjects must have been passed in the first call; three foreign languages are studied (except for 4th ESO, which requires three languages or two languages and Technology). Tie-breakers: (a) greater number of subjects with final grade Matrícula de Honor; if tied, continue with grades 10, 9, 8, etc.; (b) more siblings enrolled in the school; (c) in case of persistent ties, the faculty decides by simple majority with the director's casting vote if needed. Procedure: after final June grades are submitted, scholarships are awarded based on the stated criteria; once the list of scholarship recipients is published, appeals may be lodged within 15 natural days; scholarships are awarded for the following academic year; if a family declines, the scholarship is declared void; the school reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship for non-compliance with commitments.
