Admissions
Admissions
Admissions
1. Submit the enrolment application, book a tour or register for an open morning, and learn more about life as an AIS family. These actions initiate the admissions process and connect families with the AIS admissions team. Use the Apply Now option to begin the process.
2. Year level placements are determined at admission by age (birthdate), prior school records, measured aptitude and achievements, physical and emotional maturity, and other pertinent considerations, including students' performance in the entry assessments. There is an entry assessment that informs placement. Preschool 3 entrants must be at least three years old before March 31, be toilet trained, and be immunised. The academic year runs January to December.
3. The Entrance Age Guideline governs grade placement and provides the age ranges and grade equivalents for placement (e.g., Preschool 3, Preschool 4, Foundation, Year 1, etc.). Review the guideline to determine eligibility for each year level.
4. Prepare Admissions Documents: Completed Application Forms; two passport-size photographs of the students and parents; scanned copies of passports (cover page, photo page, vital information page, expiration date, and current visa page); scanned birth certificate; scanned copies of KITAS (for non-Indonesian passport holders); copy of official school reports for the previous two years; copy of all education certificates; copy of English language test results; copy of psychological or educational evaluations/reports (for Special Needs students only); copy of previous Individual Education Plans (for Special Needs students only); copy of immunisation records; certified translations of documents not in English. Note: If the school year has not been completed, mid-term reports should be sent.
5. Indonesian citizens may apply to Preschool 3, Preschool 4 and Foundation; Indonesian citizens with dual citizenship must submit AFFIDAVIT; All other citizens must submit a KITAS or a guarantee letter; ensure documents are in English where required.
6. Applications for admission will be taken throughout the school.
7. The school year runs January to December, and the admissions process is designed to accommodate this calendar.
Admissions
1. Admission is open anytime on the Principal's recommendation and is dependent on seat availability. Parents may visit the School to meet with the Principal by calling 0361-239746/239747 for an appointment. Prospective students are invited to access Admission Forms. 2. Applicants sit for an Entrance Test and have an interview with the Principal; the test covers English and Mathematics and lasts about thirty minutes. The results help determine the appropriate level for the student, and teachers are informed of the results to plan any required support. 3. After admission is confirmed, applicants meet the Administrative Manager to discuss financial terms. This meeting covers fees, payment schedules and any applicable deposits. Documentation is reviewed to ensure all financial terms are understood. 4. Applicants submit the completed Admission Form to Reception along with all required documents, including comprehensive health screening and visa/ID checks, the Transfer/Clearance Certificate from the previous school, and the student's Report Cards for the past three years. Additional documents may be requested as needed. The Admissions Office will verify documents and confirm next steps. 5. Admission and Enrolment Fees and the Security Deposit may be paid prior to enrollment. Receipts are issued on payment and enrollment is finalized upon successful payment. Financial terms are discussed with the Administrative Manager. 6. Uniforms, textbooks and exercise books are available from the School Store. The Store operates during specified times and items are issued or purchased as directed. Parents should coordinate with the Store to ensure required items are obtained before the start of the term. 7. For mid-year admissions, start-month determines payment terms. August/September or February/March entries require full payment of school fees. October or April entries are billed monthly. November or May use a temporary fee arrangement. Temporary Students are welcome when seats are available. 8. For further details and the Admission Form, contact the Administrative Office directly. Applicants may request additional information on admissions timelines, required documents and fee schedules. The Administrative Office will provide guidance on next steps and deadlines. 9. Recommended ages for class placement are: Nursery 3, Kindergarten 4, Prep 5; Middle School Grades 6–8; Primary Grades 1–5; Secondary School Grades 11–12. These age guidelines help determine appropriate progression through the programmes. Parents should use these guidelines when planning admissions. 10. Accessibility: the campus is mostly wheelchair accessible and the school does not accept students with severe physical or learning disabilities. 11. Special Programmes include an integrated English Immersion Programme designed to ease non-native English speakers into the mainstream curricula. 12.
