Curriculum details	Curriculum details Baleares International College offers a British style international education for boys and girls aged 3 to 18. There are two campuses on Mallorca: Sa Porrassa in Calvià and Sant Agustí on the outskirts of Palma. Lessons are delivered in English, with a team of language specialists; students learn Spanish, Catalan, German and French, with English as an Additional Language support. The school offers IGCSE and A Level qualifications. It is COBIS compliant and Mallorca's only COBIS compliant school. The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is part of school life, and the community includes over 40 nationalities with specialist science, sport and art facilities. Last summer, a third of all GCSE grades were A/A* (7-9), significantly exceeding global averages. A-Level results in 2025 show strong performance, with 84% of A-Level grades at A-C. In Primary, assessment relies on teacher observations, with Baseline assessments in Early Years; regular checks in Key Stages 1 and 2, and formal Year 6 assessments in Literacy, Numeracy, Science and cross-curricular topics in November and May. In Secondary, work is evaluated daily with end-of-year examinations in all subjects. Admissions	Admissions Your Journey to Joining Us: The admissions process is the same for Sant Agustí and Sa Porrassa. Step 1: Enquire or Book a visit. Fill in our online enquiry form to register your interest or book a school tour. You can select the school, request a virtual tour, and the admissions team will contact you. Step 2: Visit School. A personal tour of the school to explore classrooms and facilities and meet academic staff. Step 3: Start your Application. Apply via the Admissions Portal. Log in to view progress and submit documents; each child needs their own application. Step 4: Offer and acceptance. After review, a formal offer is sent via the portal; you sign the terms and conditions and pay the Enrolment Fee and Transcript Fee. An entry test or interview may be requested. Admissions are assessed in line with policies for Sant Agustí and Sa Porrassa.	Admissions Submit Preliminary Enquiry Form for admission. The form is available for download and initiates the admissions process. It helps the college provide relevant information about entry timelines and next steps. This form is the first step for prospective families seeking a place at Queen's College. Entry to Queen's College is through interview and assessment at all levels. The process ensures candidates are suitable for the program and community. Applicants from other schools must provide academic reports and, if requested, a character reference from their Head Teacher. The college may request additional information during the admissions process. Pupils coming from other schools must provide copies of their most recent academic reports. If requested, a personal reference from the Head Teacher may be provided. The school requires that all applicants (except nursery) have a good grasp of the English language, spoken and written, at a level appropriate to their stage of development. The form of assessment depends on the level of entry. Primary Department pupils spend a morning in the classroom to experience life at Queen's and to help the class teacher assess suitability. Secondary Department pupils take a test in English and Mathematics and, where applicable, Spanish. Sixth Form (years 12 and 13) entry depends on GCSE results and a personal reference from the previous school.
Scholarships	Scholarships BIC 2021 Scholarship Programme provides 50% of the tuition costs for the 2-year A Level programme funded by Orbital Education. Available to current Baleares International College students and new entrants starting A Level studies in September 2021. Scholarships awarded on achievement and potential. Scholarships The Sisu Award is presented annually to Year 13 students in recognition of effort and perseverance. The award is based on specific results-based criteria, and there is no limit to the number of awards. The award consists of a monetary prize: a refund of 50% of the final year's annual school fee. The criteria require achieving the equivalent of 4 A grades at GCE A-level and demonstrating the academic and personal qualities expected of a Queen's College student. The concept behind the award name, SISU, reflects strength of will, determination, perseverance, and rational action in adversity.
