British Royal School offers the British curriculum taught by native English-speaking teachers and complements it with Spanish curriculum subjects to obtain both British and Spanish qualifications. The Admissions Department is open year-round and welcomes visits; families are encouraged to visit the school and discuss the curriculum and observe the learning environment. A Day of Trial is offered so children can join a class of their age and experience a typical day at the school. The five-step admissions process is: 1. Consultation, 2) Visit to the school, 3) Day of Trial or online assessment/interview, 4) Offer of a place, 5) Enrollment. The majority of students join in September, and early admission is advised to guarantee a place.
Admissions
01 Online Interview Request: Parents or guardians must submit the admission application, using the online form at the bottom of this page. The admission period is open throughout the academic year from October to June. The Admissions Department will contact families by telephone to inform them about the school and, if desired, determine the date of the visit.
02 Personal Interview: Parents or guardians must attend. They will be provided with detailed information about the school and a formal admission application will be completed.
03 Admission Tests (ESO and Bachillerato): Students in ESO and Bachillerato must present, at the time of testing, the grades from the previous year and the current year in which they are enrolled. The applicant must take the following tests: a general mathematics and Spanish language test; a specific test in Biology, Physics and Chemistry; a specific test of general knowledge, vocabulary and reasoning; and a personal interview. The admission tests will be held starting in January. They are on Fridays at 15:30 and last about one and a half hours. After the test, the Orientation Department will meet with the parents or guardians to exchange impressions.
04 Admission Confirmation: Within a maximum of 10 days the parents or guardians will be informed by email of the admission decision and provided with enrollment documentation.
05 Enrollment: Parents or guardians have 15 days to submit the enrollment information, either by mail or delivering it at the Center. If within that period the documentation is not provided, without justified cause, the admission process will be invalidated.
