Curriculum details	Curriculum details From age 2 through the Baccalaureate, IBS provides a bilingual education in French and English. There are two progression paths in the upper years: the IBS Section, which follows the French National Education curriculum with a strong emphasis on English, and the International Section, which prepares students for Cambridge IGCSEs in Grades 9–10 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma in Grades 11–12, with instruction largely in English. In the French Bac pathway, about one-third of classes are taught in English and two-thirds follow the official French program; students may continue with the French Baccalaureate or join the IBS IB track, and a year-long program supports foreign students to improve their French. The International Baccalaureate Diploma is delivered over two years, combines internal assessment and final examinations across six subject groups, and is taught in English; students select from groups including language, individuals and societies, sciences, mathematics and the arts, complete a 4,000-word extended essay, study Theory of Knowledge, and undertake Creativity, Activity and Service. Documents required: Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or school administrator (for secondary students); marks from the present and previous schools; Letter of Motivation from the student (for secondary students); copy of the current passport; and a current photo of the student. The application is reviewed by the Admissions Committee with the Academic Director for the class; the outcome can be acceptance, decline, placement on a wait list, or a request for further reports, exams, or an interview. Due to small class sizes and high demand, places cannot be confirmed until current families re-enroll in February; new applicants receive final confirmation of a place in March or later depending on the application date. If accepted, sign a registration contract and pay the enrolment fee, entrance fee, and first month of tuition; enrollment is guaranteed only after the signed contract and first payment are received.
