Admissions	Admissions 1. Entry to ISJ is non-selective for Pre-Nursery, Nursery, and Reception. Admission to Year 1 and above is by assessment. Applications can be submitted up to two years in advance. 2. Visit the School. Prospective families are encouraged to visit ISJ before applying. Tours allow viewing the campus, meeting staff, observing lessons, and asking questions about curriculum, pastoral care, and school life. Tours are arranged on weekdays during term time. 3. Submit Application. Complete and return the Application Form along with the required documents. The Application Fee is IDR 4,680,000 and must be paid for the application to be processed. Applications can be submitted up to two years in advance. The school reviews the submission and begins processing once the fee is paid. 4. Assessment. For pupils applying to Year 1 and above, age-appropriate entrance assessments are conducted to understand academic readiness, learning potential, and personal qualities such as curiosity and focus. Assessments are conducted in a relaxed, supportive environment, either individually or in small groups. Entry to Pre-Nursery, Nursery, and Reception is non-selective. 5. Admissions Decision. Following assessment, the family is notified of the decision in writing. If a place is offered, an Offer Letter and details of next steps, including payment of the Enrolment Deposit to secure the place, are provided. Upon enrolment confirmation, a Welcome Pack with term dates, schedules, key contacts, and information about the child's class teacher and form group is issued.	Admissions 1. Enquire Begin the Wellington journey. The Admissions Team guides families through the curriculum, facilities, community and values. Placement is based on your child's age as of 1 September, following the UK National Curriculum, with exceptions possible to support development. See the Year Group Placement Guide for the 2026–2027 academic year to identify the appropriate entry group. 2. Apply Complete the online application form, upload the required documents and settle the non-refundable application fee. Applications can be submitted online; documents include birth certificate, a recent photograph, school reports (if applicable) and a vaccination record. Indonesian citizens should also provide a national ID card and family card (Kartu Keluarga), while foreign citizens should include a passport, stay permit (KITAS/KITAP) and residence certificate (SKTT). 3. Assessment Your child will complete age-appropriate assessments to help us understand how they learn best and ensure alignment with Wellington's approach. For Early Years and Junior School, the evaluation is age-appropriate, friendly and play-based and may include a short meeting with your child and our teachers, a simple observation of interaction and communication, and a review of health and development information. This helps us determine placement and supports the admissions decision. 4. Review Our Admissions Committee carefully considers each application to ensure the best fit for every child and the balance of the school community. They review the assessment results, documents and information provided to understand the applicant's needs and strengths. The aim is to match the applicant with a suitable year group and ensure a positive community dynamic. 5. Decision Successful applicants receive an Offer Letter confirming placement details and outlining the next steps in joining Wellington. The letter explains any conditions to acceptance and provides guidance on required documents and timelines for enrolment. Acceptance timelines and process for securing a place are also explained. 6. Enrol Secure the place by returning the signed Place Acceptance Form and paying the enrolment fee to confirm enrolment. The school will provide final confirmation of start dates and any induction activities. This completes the admissions process for the pupil.
Scholarships	Scholarships Adjusted Tuition — setting the fee to your family's circumstances. Before ruling ISJ out on the published fee, talk to us. Where ISJ is genuinely the right school for your child and the full fee is a stretch, tuition can be set to what your family can manage. It is not a discount and not a scholarship, and support is usually partial: we adjust the fee, we do not remove it. It is open to families funding education privately, including expatriate families on local-plus contracts and the self-employed, for whom a posting no longer covers full school fees. More families qualify than assume they do. It begins with one private conversation rather than a form. Speak with Tiffany Hurret in Admissions; a short, confidential review then sets the fee, and arrangements are reviewed each year so they move with your circumstances. Every arrangement stays between your family and the school, with no bearing on your child's place or their day here. Ki Hajar Dewantara Scholarship — widening access for Indonesian pupils. A limited number of awards each year, covering up to 100% of tuition, for Indonesian pupils of exceptional promise for whom the fees would otherwise be out of reach. Awards are made on academic potential and family circumstances, including at A-Level entry in Year 12. The bar is high and the places are few. Named in honour of Ki Hajar Dewantara (1889–1959), founder of the Taman Siswa movement, who held that education should be open to all, whatever a child's background.
