Application fees
- Boarding (kostskole) registration fee: DKK 2,500 charged at admission to the boarding school; a student is not admitted until this amount is paid. The registration fee is non‑refundable on withdrawal or when the student vacates the boarding school.
Tuition fees by programme and year group (per year / per term)
- Day programmes (STX, HF, HHX, EUX, EUD, IB, 10. klasse): there is no annual tuition charged to students enrolled on the school's regular upper‑secondary programmes; education is publicly funded. Ancillary charges may apply for certain optional activities or services (see “Other costs” below).
- Boarding (kostskole) – fees for the school year 2026/27:
- Students aged 18 or older: DKK 50,000 per school year (charged as 10 instalments of DKK 5,000).
- Students under 18 years: base DKK 27,000 per school year (charged as 10 instalments of DKK 2,700) plus 4.5% of the parents' (pre‑tax) income above DKK 100,000; the combined charge is capped so that a maximum total of DKK 50,000 would apply at an approximate income level of DKK 610,000. The annual boarding price is adjusted each year with effect from August.
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Boarding invoices are issued in Danish kroner (DKK) and the boarding fee is billed monthly in 10 instalments covering August through May. Payment for boarding is due in advance on the 1st of each month. Payment may be made by bank transfer or giro. A reminder (rykker) fee of DKK 100 is charged for late payment. There is a two‑month notice period for termination of boarding; the month of notice plus the following two months remain payable. Non‑payment can lead to exclusion from the boarding school. Fees are regulated annually effective from August.
Boarding fees (what they cover and special rules)
- The stated boarding fee covers the student's residence at the kostskole (including meals and supervision as provided by the boarding operation). Students over 18 may be eligible for Danish state educational grants at the higher (out‑of‑home) rate if they meet the requirements. For students under 18 the final boarding amount depends on parental income as described above.
Other costs and typical additional fees
- Exam / participant fees for external (self‑study) candidates: as regulated, the school collects participation fees for external examination candidates. The amount is DKK 550 per subject for the subjects enumerated in the relevant regulation and DKK 1,400 for other subjects; the school refunds participant fees to external candidates who are subsequently issued a certificate for a complete studentereksamen.
- Textbooks and book depot: borrowing school books from the school's book depot is free; lost or missing books must be replaced at the student's expense.
- Study trips and excursions: study trips and other out‑of‑school activities may carry participant fees. The school follows the statutory rules on participant payments for excursions and study trips; mandatory participation cannot be required for costs that exceed the statutory daily limits that apply. Specific trip charges are billed on an activity basis and state the due date and payment instructions.
- Canteen / meals for day students and other incidental purchases: food services (FoodCamp / canteen) and similar on‑site purchases are charged separately to individual students and are not included in the standard programme fees.
Refund information
- Boarding registration fee (DKK 2,500) is non‑refundable if the student declines the offered place or when the student moves out. The school operates a contractual two‑month notice period for leaving the boarding facility; payment remains due for the month of notice plus the two subsequent months.
- External (self‑study) candidate participation fees are refunded where the candidate receives a certificate for a complete studentereksamen, in accordance with the relevant regulation.
Fee payment options and how invoices are handled
- Boarding fee payment methods: bank transfer or giro are accepted for boarding payments; invoices are issued in DKK. Monthly instalments are due on the 1st of each month (August–May). A reminder fee applies for late payments.
- Event‑ or activity‑specific payments (for example 10. klasse events) are handled through the school's online payment procedures that use the national authentication system (MitID) for the pupil's payment/consent flows where applicable. Individual activity invoices will state the payment method and due date.
