Bulgarian School Hristo Botev Bratislava is a long-established primary and secondary school (gymnasium) in Bratislava, delivering Bulgarian-led education with Bulgarian, Slovak and English as languages of study. Founded in 1948, it bridges Bulgarian and Slovak culture through projects and collaborations with the Embassy of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Cultural Institute. The school follows an individual approach to learning, prioritizing motivation and responsibility while preparing students for the State Matriculation Examinations (DZI). For grades 1–4, full-day schooling is available, with classrooms for information technology, physics and astronomy, chemistry and biology, plus a spacious gymnasium and playing field. Students may graduate with Bulgarian and Slovak diplomas. The campus provides free education and textbooks, after-school care, and school meals. A strong emphasis on languages, projects and competitions is complemented by arts and cultural activities, including ethnography, folk dances, and language clubs. Facilities include free textbooks, meals, a canteen, and after-school support for pupils.
