Application fees
- There is no application fee for students who apply through the Swedish national application system for upper secondary school (gymnasiet). Entrance tests (where required for programs such as IB) are part of the admission process and are not listed as chargeable items for Swedish applicants.
Tuition fees (by school/program and year group)
- Swedish citizens and residents: participation in all national programmes offered at Per Brahegymnasiet, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, is provided without tuition charge to the student.
- International applicants without Swedish residency or citizenship (fee-paying international students): an annual student tuition fee is required. The school's published guidance gives the fee as approximately EUR 10,000 per school year (stated equivalently in earlier school documentation as about SEK 100,000). This applies per full school year rather than per single term.
- Inter-municipal / invoiced place charges (when another municipality pays for a student placed at Per Brahegymnasiet): Jönköping municipality's published inter-municipal price list for 2025 shows per‑student cost entries by national programme. For the International Baccalaureate the published 2025 figures are:
- Per year: SEK 111,215.
- Per term: SEK 55,607.
- Per month: SEK 9,268.
These inter-municipal figures reflect the municipality's full cost calculation (used when a home municipality is billed). Other programmes at the school have separate per-year and per-term amounts on the same price list.
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Enrollment date used to determine which months/terms are billed: the municipality's price list specifies how pupil presence is checked for billing — for example, pupil counts on the 15th of specific months determine spring and autumn term charges and the corresponding monthly allocations. Term-by-term and month-by-month debiting follows those municipal rules.
- Payment terms for invoices issued by Jönköping municipality (applied to municipal invoicing) follow the municipality's standard invoicing rules: electronic invoicing is required for suppliers and municipal invoicing practice sets payment terms (the municipality's standard payment term is 30 days unless otherwise agreed). Invoicing to the municipality uses the stated e‑invoice/PEPPOL requirements. When a private individual is invoiced (for e.g., a tuition invoice to an international fee‑paying family), municipal billing procedures and the delivered invoice will state the exact payment deadline and accepted payment methods.
Boarding fees (if applicable)
- The school does not operate boarding facilities. Students who require accommodation must arrange or fund their own housing; there is no school-run boarding fee. Municipal boarding or inackorderingstilläggs (boarding allowances) may be handled separately by a student's home municipality in cases where commuting is impractical.
Other costs and fees
- School meals and loan of educational materials: meals for students under 20 and the loan of educational materials are included in the municipal cost coverage for students and are provided without additional charge to eligible students. For inter‑municipal billing the municipality's price list notes that the listed per‑student amounts include access to school lunch for students under 20 but exclude travel and boarding allowances.
- Program-specific additional costs: certain programmes (for example, practical or arts courses) commonly involve incidental costs for consumable materials, instrument hire or purchase, special course materials, and voluntary study trips. Those program-specific costs are not presented as a school-wide flat fee on the published municipal schedule; such charges, when required, are recorded or communicated per programme and per activity. (Available municipal cost schedules show programme-level cost figures but do not itemise every incidental kit or instrument cost.)
- IB-related examination/organisation fees: for Swedish resident students these costs are covered through the school's funding. For fee‑paying international students the required tuition covers the programme costs the school lists for accepting such students (the published tuition amount for international fee‑paying students is presented as covering the programme for the school year).
Refund information
- No separate, publicised school-level refund schedule for tuition paid by fee‑paying international applicants is published alongside the admission fee notice. Municipal invoicing follows standard municipal invoicing and crediting procedures. Specific refund entitlement, timing and any pro‑rata calculations for withdrawn students or cancelled places are handled according to the school's administrative practice and municipal billing rules and would be reflected on the invoice/contract for the individual placement.
Fee payment options and invoicing methods
- Invoicing and payment follow Jönköping municipality procedures. For municipal invoices the municipality requires (where applicable) e‑invoices in PEPPOL/Svefaktura format; standard municipal invoices list bank or giro details and a payment due date. Payment terms are established on the invoice (municipal standard is 30 days unless otherwise agreed). Methods commonly used for municipal payments are e‑invoice or bank transfer as specified on the invoice; the precise payment instruments and details for any tuition invoice will be stated on the issued invoice.
Key practical points for parents
- Swedish residents: there is no tuition charge for students admitted to Per Brahegymnasiet's national programmes, including IB.
- International fee-paying students (no Swedish residency): plan for a full-year tuition charge in the order of EUR 10,000 (approximately SEK 100,000 as noted in school admissions guidance); the municipality's inter‑municipal price list (2025) shows programme-level invoiced rates for municipalities (IB: SEK 111,215/year; SEK 55,607/term).
- The school does not supply boarding; accommodation costs and arrangements are separate.
- Invoices follow municipal invoicing practice (e‑invoice requirements and municipal payment terms). Check the invoice for exact payment methods and due dates.
