Obersee Bilingual School (OBS) is a Swiss international school serving German- and English-speaking families. From Kindergarten to Grade 6, instruction alternates weekly between German and English, while from Grade 7 subjects are taught in a single language per year, with Mathematics alternating by semester. From Year 10 onward, the language of instruction follows the chosen school-leaving qualification, with the IB Diploma and Federal Matura offered. OBS uses the Swiss Curriculum alongside the IB Diploma Programme, IMYC, and a bespoke curriculum designed for a bilingual student body, ages 0 to 18. The campus, located near Lake Zurich, combines accessibility with natural surroundings to support experiential learning. Tandem International Multilingual School (Tandem IMS) is a day school delivering a blended curriculum that combines Zurich Lehrplan 21, the UK National Curriculum, and elements from the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. It serves learners from 0 to 18 years and supports multilingual education across English, German and French. Translanguaging and enquiry-based learning are core features, with two native-language teachers sharing a classroom to support language development in real time. The core curricula prepare pupils for the Swiss Gymnasium and Matura, with a twelve-month planning cycle that tailors activities to language development. Assessments include Swiss Klassencockpit and UK SATs. Since its founding, Tandem IMS has grown from six children to over 300 across campuses in Erlenbach, Küsnacht, Zollikon and Zurich. In 2024 it celebrated 20 years, and in 2025 opened the Küsnacht campus uniting primary and Gymnasium pupils in a modern environment with small classes. ISZL is a private, non-profit international day school in Switzerland serving learners from age 3 to 18. The school follows the International Baccalaureate framework across Primary, Middle, and High School, with the PYP in Primary, the MYP in Middle School, and the Diploma Programme in High School. The High School also offers an ISZL Diploma with pathways that include Advanced Placement courses and the BTEC Diploma in Creative Media. The campus model includes the Zug Campus for Early Years through Middle School and the Riverside Campus in Hünenberg for High School, plus Chalet Bergheim as Outdoor Education Centre. Rietberg Montessori School in Switzerland offers a bilingual Montessori program for children aged 3 to 12. The school is state-accredited by the Department of Education of Canton Zürich and licensed by AM(S). In kindergarten, children are placed in mixed-age groups (3–6) with instruction in German and English; in elementary, two mixed-age groups (6–9 and 9–12). Qualified Montessori staff guide learning using Dr. Montessori materials to support cognitive and physical development. The Montessori curriculum fully covers the Canton Zurich requirements and guarantees transfer to secondary school, ensuring a clear progression to gymnasium. The school was founded in 1987 and operates under a Foundation Board, with dedicated principals for Kindergarten and Elementary.
