Mingdao High School International Department (MDID) is the international arm of Mingdao High School in Taichung, Taiwan. It delivers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP). MDID was established in 2012; DP authorization was granted in May 2018, MYP authorization in January 2019, and CP authorization in 2023. Classes run on a semester system with 50-minute lessons across eight blocks in a five-day cycle, and instruction is delivered in English with Chinese and a second foreign language taught as part of the curriculum. The language of instruction is English, and MDID offers a second foreign language program including French, Spanish, German and Japanese, alongside Chinese language study and English language/Literature. Taipei European School (TES) is a federation of three European language sections (British/English, French, and German) operating within one school. The Primary Campus is in central Taipei (Shilin District) and the Secondary Campus is up in the Yangmingshan hills.
