The school provides Social & Emotional Counseling through its school counselors. School counselors act as advocates for students. They work with parents, teachers, administrators and outside resources to provide every student with tools for successful growth, enjoyment and development. School counselors develop relationships with each student to enable communication between students, teachers and parents. This supports students' social and emotional development as part of AIS's student support framework.

The school has Learning Support specialists. They work with parents, students, and teachers to identify each child's learning needs. Their goal is for every child with a learning difference to finish strong. They provide targeted support to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations.

The EAL program aims to ensure English proficiency allows students to reach their highest academic potential. AIS works with students, parents and teachers to identify each child's needs. Teaching is tailored to support English language skills. The EAL program is part of Student Support at AIS.

Begin Your AIS Journey. We are currently accepting admissions for the 2026-27 school year and can also consider applications for the remainder of the 2026 school year based on grade-level capacity. We would love to hear from your family, so please submit an inquiry to begin your AIS journey. Inquiries lead to setting up an account on the AIS Admissions Portal to complete your application and upload all documentation.
Step 1: Submit Inquiry and Create a Veracross Account. Submit an Inquiry; within 24 hours from submission you will receive an automated email prompting you to create an account on the AIS Admissions Portal. Create your account on the AIS Admissions Portal and begin your application.
Step 2: Request Required Documents from Child's Current School. All required documents are listed as you move through the Application process. Login to your Admissions Portal and delegate the appropriate teacher evaluation forms to your child's current school. Please print the Transcript Release Form and take it directly to your child's current school. The teacher will then send your child's transcripts from this school year and last directly to AIS.
Step 3: Schedule a Visit. There are many ways to engage with Atlanta International School and our community, including during the admission season. We encourage you to participate in a tour, Information Session or Open House. Applicant Screening Days are a required part of the application process for all grade levels. We hold in-person screenings for local applicants during the regular admission session and virtually for out-of-state/international families. Dates for all events can be found on Tours & Events, and all events can be scheduled in advance via your Admissions Portal.
Step 4: Notification of Admission Decision. All families will be notified of their admission decision, and financial aid award if applicable, on April 4, 2026 through your AIS Admissions Portal.
Step 5: Applicant Response. All families must notify AIS of their enrollment decision by April 14, 2026.

AIS is committed to providing financial assistance to admit and retain qualified students as budgets allow. In the 2025-26 school year we provided over $4 million in financial assistance to our families. The application process for admission is independent of the application process for financial aid. Financial aid is based on documented financial need. We partner with Clarity in our financial aid application process. Clarity provides analysis which generates an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) that is a critical component of AIS' financial aid decision. AIS uses the EFC as a baseline; however, AIS must take into consideration the total financial aid budget and the school's policies and priorities. Therefore, the financial aid awarded to a family may not meet the demonstrated need documented by Clarity. All financial aid applications are subject to verification, and should discrepancies be discovered in the information provided to the Financial Aid Committee, we reserve the right to withdraw financial assistance at any time during the school year. Financial Aid Dates & Deadlines 2025-26: October 1, 2025 (Families can begin the financial aid application); February 15, 2026 (Recommended deadline for completing Clarity application and uploading documents); March 1, 2026 (Completed application and supporting documents due in Clarity; allow 48 hours for processing); April 4, 2026 (Decisions on awards emailed to families); New and renewal applications completed after March 1, 2026 go through the appeals process if funds remain available.
Financial Aid Application Requirements 2025-2026: 1) Submit online application via Clarity; 2) Upload copies of 2025 W2s/1099s and supporting documents by March 1; 3) Upload two months of bank statements; 4) Upload copies of investment account statements; 5) Upload documentation for any medical/dental/unusual expenses; 6) For owners with 20%+ shares, submit Forms 1120S/1065 with Schedule K-1s by May 1; 7) Official Tuition Statement for children at other tuition-charging schools; 8) IRS Form 1098-T if higher education expenses apply. ICSAtlanta is a state charter school governed by its own Governing Board. A Charter Petition was submitted to the State Charter School Commission on May 15, 2014, and a Charter Contract is in effect for 2025-2030. The school operates across two campuses: the Lower Campus (K-3) in Roswell and the Upper Campus (4-8) in Alpharetta.

ICSAtlanta is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for grades K-5 and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for grades 6-8. It operates a dual-language immersion program with instruction in French, German, Mandarin, and Spanish. In K-5, 50% of instruction is in the second language and 50% in English; in 6-8, two classes per day (33% of the day) are taught in the second language, with the remaining subjects in English. All grades offer all four languages and teachers are native or near-native in the language they teach. Curriculum uses Georgia Standards in ELA, mathematics, science, and social studies taught within the IB framework. The school serves grades K-8 across two campuses: Lower Campus (K-3) in Roswell and Upper Campus (4-8) in Alpharetta.

In Kindergarten through 5th grade, classes cap at 22 students. Kindergarten classrooms include a paraprofessional in the classroom.

ICSAtlanta offers gifted services for 4th–8th grades. Students are identified and referred for evaluation through the Georgia DOE process; from 4th grade, gifted-identified students may participate in daily pull-out sessions with the gifted teacher, and in middle school are served through enhanced math. Gifted services are not offered on the lower campus (K-3).

1. Eligibility and language tracks. For the 2026-2027 academic year, ICSAtlanta accepts applications for Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Kindergarten admissions are open to all rising Georgia residents, regardless of language proficiency. 1st through 3rd grade admissions require proficiency in French, German, Mandarin Chinese (simplified), or Spanish demonstrated through the STAMP 4Se language assessment. If the proficiency minimums are met and a parent submits an application, enrollment will be offered if spaces are available. 2. Language proficiency testing and forms. The STAMP 4Se language assessment is required for eligible grades; there is no cost to take the assessment, and scores are final. The assessment may not be retaken in the same school year. 3. Admissions timeline. For 2026-2027, Initial Application Period runs January 2–January 31. A lottery (virtual via Zoom) is held February 2 at 10 AM if applications exceed spaces. From February through September, open enrollment continues; applications are added to the end of the waitlist and enrollment proceeds on a rolling basis as space permits until enrollment is closed. 4. Language track policy. Every new student is assigned a language track: French, German, Mandarin, or Spanish. Every effort is made to grant the first-choice language track, but this is not always possible. There are no language-specific waitlists, and changes in language tracks after enrollment are not allowed during the current year or the next year. Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026. 1st-grade applicants must be 6 years old on or before September 1, 2026. 6. Helpful information and how to apply. DLI requires patience, diligence, and a willingness to commit to the long-term benefits of DLI. Parents are open to any language track and need not speak the language their child is learning. New Student Application for 2026-2027 is Now Open, and a link to the 2026-2027 Lottery Results (2/2/2026) is provided; an alternate printed application is available if online submission is not possible.

ICSAtlanta uses a waitlist. During open enrollment, applications are added to the end of the waitlist as space becomes available. Admissions and enrollment continue on a rolling basis until enrollment is closed. There are no language-specific waitlists.
