It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
Opened in September 2018. The school provides a British education from nursery (age 3) to year 13. It is owned by the Andorran company British College Overseas SL. In May 2025, the school was acquired by Forfar Education.
The British College of Andorra occupies a green and spacious campus on a wooded hillside above Andorra la Vella, with mountain views and the UNESCO Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley on the doorstep. Students are assigned to one of four houses—Juclar, Coma Pedrosa, Incles, and Valira—to promote belonging and school spirit. The House Council focuses on Wellbeing, Environment & School Facilities, Academics, Events, and Charities & Service Learning. Communication supports the learning community with a weekly Newsletter, links to Google Classroom and the Isams Parents Portal, and parent representatives who meet regularly with the school leadership for feedback. The BCA Summer Camp runs each July for ages 3–16, combining English immersion with activities, and there is a Ski Programme one day a week in winter.
Parent Representatives, one per class, meet regularly with the school leadership to strengthen the partnership between parents and staff and to support children's learning. They facilitate parental understanding of the curriculum. They share and celebrate the community's successes and provide clarification over issues to avoid confusion. They involve parents in decision-making and act as a voice for suggestions, helping to connect with the wider community. Class Representatives ensure open, inclusive and regular communication with the parents they represent. Parent Representatives and Class Representatives provide a structured channel for engagement that supports wellbeing, environment, academics, events and service learning within the school.
The British College of Andorra is an international school serving ages 3 to 17, delivering a blend of EYFS, British curriculum, and IB Diploma Programme. The school teaches in English with specialist teaching in Spanish, Catalan and French, and provides EAL support for multilingual learners. As an IB World School, it follows IB approaches to learning and offers the Diploma Programme core elements of Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity and Service, taught by staff trained in IB methodologies. The campus sits on a wooded hillside above Andorra la Vella, with a Sports Hall and slate-faced buildings near UNESCO World Heritage landscapes. The school emphasizes international-mindedness and a UK-aligned education from nursery through Year 13; in 2025 it joined the Forfar Education group. Extra-curricular life includes a UNICEF Escola Amiga initiative, Eco-Schools involvement, and an after-school program with activities such as sport, community service, and leadership opportunities.
