School scholarships and Foundation aid: The Lycée Franco-Argentin Jean Mermoz, in collaboration with the Consulate General of France in Buenos Aires and the Jean Mermoz Foundation, helps families in difficult times. There are two types of aid: school scholarships and financial aid from the Jean Mermoz Foundation. 1) French state scholarships: The Lycée is a French school abroad authorized by AEFE; French families residing in Argentina, whose children are enrolled, can benefit from French government scholarships. Applications for these scholarships can be made directly on the Consulate General of France in Buenos Aires website; the Consulate's social service holds two consular council meetings each year to review these applications. FAQ: Which students can benefit from a French state scholarship? To be eligible for AEFE scholarships, students must be French nationals and enrolled, or in the process of enrollment, with the consulate; attend a recognized French education center and reside with their family in the country where the center is located. What expenses do school scholarships cover? They cover total or partial tuition and related expenses; depending on the school and family circumstances and documentation, these scholarships may cover costs such as half-board, transportation, insurance, living costs, and exam registration. How and where to apply? Visit the Consulate General of France in Buenos Aires website for the scholarship information and form. The 2025 campaign runs from July 1 to August 9, with appointments required for in-person interviews. 2) Jean Mermoz Foundation financial aid: The Jean Mermoz Foundation provides financial aid to non-French students on an exceptional basis. Interested families should request the financial aid application form by email to the Jean Mermoz Foundation Financial Aid; consult the Official Regulations of the Foundation's aid. FAQ: Financial aid decisions are based on demonstrated need, and no aid is granted during the first year of schooling.
