History

The British International School of Armenia is an independent educational institution. It is not funded by religious, state, public, private, or international bodies and does not operate on donations; it is accountable to its students and staff. The school collaborates with selected educators and researchers to realize its aims, crossing the boundaries of state and private education institutions in pursuit of innovative education. It blends internationally recognized curricula with Armenian educational traditions, offering Pearson KS3, iGCSE, and A-levels, alongside the Armenian national high school program. Upon graduation, students receive the Armenian high school diploma in addition to international qualifications.

Community

The school provides student support through a center offering academic, social, and administrative counseling, and guidance for studying abroad. Students participate in volunteer initiatives with BIS Armenia and partner organizations, and the school supports volunteering and community service through donations. Open Doors events are held to engage prospective families and the wider community.

British International School of Armenia is an independent international school that blends Pearson Edexcel curricula with Armenian national qualifications. It offers Pearson iGCSE and International A‑levels alongside the Armenian National Diploma for High School, and runs KS3 and iGCSE programs for Middle School. Instruction is in English, with extension options such as English for Young Learners, TOEFL iBT, IELTS, General English and Mathematics to support study and assessment. The Armenian diploma is delivered in parallel with international qualifications, following accreditation in 2023. A‑level Departments cover Business & Economics, IT and Mathematics/Physics, all taught in English 4–5 days a week (3–6:15 PM). Afterschool provision for Middle School (KS3 and iGCSE) runs from 3:30–5:45 PM, three to five times weekly. The school operates independently, collaborating with educators to combine Armenian educational traditions with international curricula and aims to prepare students for local and global higher education. It is independently governed and accountable too.
