Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

Step 1: Submit an Enquiry
Start your child's enrolment journey by completing the Registration Form.
Once the form is received, the Enrolments Team will contact you to confirm submission and request supporting documents.
They will arrange payment of the $150 non-refundable registration fee.
Step 2: Join the Registration Waiting List
After online registration is received and reviewed, the child's name will be added to the Registration Waiting List.
Families on the list will be contacted when a place becomes available.
Placement offers are made based on the order of registration, available year level spots, and school readiness requirements.
Kindergarten applicants must currently be attending a preschool program at the time of application.
Step 3: Interview & Assessment
After all documents and the registration fee are received, the team will schedule an interview with the parents/guardians and the child.
Kindergarten interviews discuss preschool readiness and a completed checklist.
Years 1–12 interviews include an academic review; for Strathfield applicants, an entrance exam in literacy and numeracy may be required.
A student profile for the previous two semesters, including two semester reports and NAPLAN results, is required.
An interview does not guarantee a place; all applications are reviewed by the Principal and school leadership.
Step 4: Offer of Enrolment
If the application is successful, a Letter of Offer will be issued.
To confirm the place, sign and return the Acceptance Letter.
Complete all enrolment documentation and pay the enrolment bond and associated fees.
Step 5: Welcome to AIA
Once enrolment is finalised, a Welcome Email is sent with term dates, the school calendar, uniform and book list details, and login details for TASS Parent Lounge and the Audiri App.
Information on before and after school care, key policies, and parent information is provided, and internal teams are notified to prepare for arrival (IT setup, diary distribution, class allocation).

AIA is an Australian-affiliated school network offering an IB continuum alongside the Australian Curriculum. The Coburg King Khalid Campus serves primary students (Prep–Year 5), with the Melbourne Senior Campus providing secondary education (Year 6–12). The program blends the International Baccalaureate framework with local NSW concepts and is delivered in an Islamic ethos. In the Primary Years Programme, students study English and Literacy, Mathematics, Science, History and Geography, Creative Arts, Health and Physical Education, Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, and Library, organized around six transdisciplinary themes and a Year 6 PYP Exhibition. MYP and DP are available in later years, supporting students through inquiry, collaboration and research. Arabic is taught as a LOTE; Islamic Studies are integrated across the curriculum. The MERIT wellbeing framework and Service as Action promote social and ethical learning, with documentation via Managebac. Extracurriculars include robotics, debating, and creative arts, alongside leadership opportunities and community service for students.
