Language Provision

Languages taught include Italian, Chinese (Mandarin), French and Latin. Italian is introduced in the Early Learning Centre through immersive experiences and Junior School teaches Italian from Prep to Year 4. In Senior School, Years 7–8 offer Italian or Chinese (Mandarin), with French available for Years 8–10 in 2026. Year 10 electives include French, Italian, Latin and Chinese (Mandarin); Years 11–12 offer Units 1–4 in French, Italian, Latin and Chinese Mandarin (First Language, Second Language Advanced and Second Language).

Immersion Programs

Italian is introduced in the Early Learning Centre through immersive, play-based experiences. Junior School teaches Italian from Prep to Year 4 using gestural-based approaches and the PYP. In Senior School, Years 7–8 offer Italian or Chinese (Mandarin), and in 2026 French is available for Years 8–10. The Encounter Day Program for Year 9 provides an authentic language and cultural experience.

Genazzano FCJ College is a Catholic girls' school in Kew, Victoria, educating students from age 3 to 18 with day and boarding options.
