VCE languages include French (Units 1 to 4) and Japanese. In the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, Group 2 Language Acquisition offers French B, Japanese B and Spanish ab initio.
Chiang Mai Experience: Year 9 students can participate in an eight-week programme at Kardinia Sum Pun campus in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Students can also visit sister schools Gotemba Nishi in Japan, Saint Alyre in France and Discovery College in Hong Kong.
Kardinia International College is an independent, coeducational, non-denominational K–12 school in Geelong, Australia serving students from ages 3 to 18. It offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme for Kindergarten to Year 6 and the Diploma Programme for Years 11–12, with a vertical curriculum aligned to the Victorian Curriculum for Years 7–10 and both the Victorian Certificate of Education option. The campus spans 52 acres in Bell Post Hill, with a second Kardinia Grove Year 5 Campus on farmland for place‑based learning, permaculture and green energy. Facilities include the Goodfellow Aquatic Centre, a one‑to‑one device program, KICOnline and a laptop program in the Senior School. Kardinia was established in 1996, founded by Yoshimaro and Kiyoko Katsumata, and has grown to accommodate hundreds of students. The co‑curricular program covers sport, drama, music and many clubs, including French and Japanese language groups, debating and robotics. It emphasises international mindedness and community service.
