1. Tours and information. Tours of the school are conducted weekly in Term 1 and Term 2 by the Principal and Student Leaders. Families learn about all aspects of the school during the tour and may ask questions. At the conclusion of the tour, families receive an information pack containing the Parent Information Handbook and the Enrolment Form, plus other enrolment documents.

2. Enrolment documentation and submission. The confidential enrolment form must be completed for Victorian government school admissions and enrolment details are entered into CASES21. Information collected includes date of birth, names and addresses of student and enrolling parent or guardian, medical and other conditions, emergency contacts, immunisation status, previous school, and the Privacy Collection Statement. Enrolments are processed as they are received, and families receive confirmation of enrollment from the Administration Team. For transitions from early learning, a Transition Learning and Development Statement helps support the process.

3. Prep (Foundation) 2027 timeline. To start primary school in 2027, a child must turn 5 by 30 April 2027. Foundation enrolments for 2027 open on 20 April 2026, and the Prep information pack (including the application form) is downloaded from Find My School. The enrolment application is due by 31 July 2026, with outcomes communicated between 3 August and 14 August 2026; offers must be accepted by 28 August 2026. Transition sessions occur in Term 4 2026, and the child starts Prep in 2027 on a date advised by the school.

4. Enrolments other than Prep. Enrolments may occur at different times during the year to support a smooth transition. The school collects information to support the best placement for the child. On the first day, staff introduce the child to peers, and, with parental consent, contact details may be shared with a Class Contact Parent to help involve families in class and school activities.

5. Zone and placement. The Department's Placement Policy guides enrolment and placement. Students residing in the school zone are guaranteed a place at Kunyung Primary School. Out-of-zone enrolments depend on vacancies; if there are no vacancies, an offer cannot be made. Siblings of enrolled students are accepted.

6. IB admissions policy. The school is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme.
