Launceston Grammar operates two campuses: the Junior Campus in East Launceston and the Senior Campus with Hawkes Boarding in Mowbray overlooking the River Tamar. The Junior Campus features a purpose-built Inquiry Centre, Resource Centre, indoor gymnasium, Music Centre and Library, plus well-resourced outdoor learning spaces. The Senior Campus houses the Learning Hub, a Gymnasium with a High Performance Area, a Swimming Pool, and a range of specialist facilities including the Aviation Centre, Poimena Art Centre, Design and Technology spaces, a Media and a Drama and Dance Studio. The campuses also include Main Oval, Netball and Tennis Courts and Cricket Nets for sport, and Café 1846, Chapel and other spaces that support learning and community life. Outdoor Education is a long‑standing emphasis with Grade 3–12 camps and trips to Maria Island, Freycinet National Park, Mount Cameron and more.
Senior Campus provides Netball and Tennis Courts, a Main Oval and a Junior Oval, plus Cricket Nets for training and matches. The Swimming Pool and Gymnasium with a High Performance Area support competitive sport and student fitness. A Mountain Bike Track is located on the Senior Campus grounds. On the Junior Campus, Broadland Park and Faulkner Park host Health and Physical Education lessons, sport and athletics carnivals, cross‑country and athletics training, and the School's Equestrian programme. The campuses' facilities enable a wide range of on‑site sporting activities across both campuses.
The Aviation Centre on the Senior Campus supports aviation‑related studies. The Learning Hub on the Senior Campus provides dedicated spaces for inquiry‑based learning and collaboration. Design and Technology facilities enable practical projects across the senior years. The Media, Drama and Dance Studio spaces support arts and media education. The Junior Campus Library supports the IB Primary Years Programme with a dedicated Library and Resource Centre, and The Rooney Centre houses Learning Support and Enrichment spaces. The Poimena Art Centre and Gallery support visual arts education.
Outdoor Education is a hallmark with Grade 3–12 camps including Maria Island Camp (Grade 7), Freycinet National Park (Grade 8), Mount Cameron (Grade 9) and Overland Track as Grade 10 expeditions, and ongoing camps for Grades 11–12. In senior years, Outdoor Education offers Level 2 and Outdoor Leadership Level 3 with a focus on planning, safety, teamwork and leadership. The Junior Campus supports Visual and Performing Arts, with music programs, annual productions and dedicated arts spaces. The Equestrian programme is offered at Faulkner Park with training and competitions. The Rooney Centre and Resource Centre provide maker spaces and enrichment programs to supplement classroom learning.
Launceston Church Grammar School is an Anglican, co-educational day and boarding school in Tasmania, Australia, with the Junior Campus in East Launceston and the Senior Campus at Mowbray (Hawkes Boarding). Curriculum combines the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme for Early Learning and the Junior Campus with the Australian Curriculum.
