It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
The familiar African proverb It takes the whole village to raise a child is the approach at Queensland Academies Creative Industries. Our community includes relationships with parents, the P&C, school council and our QACI Alumni Association. QACI holds formalised relationships with a range of tertiary and industry bodies to enable authentic learning experiences and to best prepare our students for life beyond school. On successful completion of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, students can access standing credit arrangements at South East Queensland universities, including the University of Queensland (up to eight units; IB Language subjects with a 4 or better may allow language studies at a higher level), Griffith University (course credits; IB Safety Net available), Queensland University of Technology (advanced standing up to four units; bonus entry points), and the University of the Sunshine Coast (course credits).
The school has a Parents and Citizens Association (P&C), the parent representative body of QACI. The objectives are to promote the interests, and facilitate the development and further improvement of the Queensland Academies Creative Industries Campus (QACI). General meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each calendar month. Functions include fostering interest in educational matters within the general community and business community, fostering general community interest in educational matters, bringing about closer cooperation between the parents of students, other community members, staff and students, and providing or assisting in the provision of resources or services for the benefit of students. The P&C committee includes a President Libby Ferrari, Vice Presidents Coreta Lennon, Iwa Brown (Events), Belinda Tolman (Fundraising), Treasurer Sophie Araud-Sheldon, Secretary Sandra Cruz. Contact pandc@qaci.eq.edu.au.
