CAS engages students in activities beyond coursework, focusing on creativity, personal development, and making a difference in communities. Students undertake CAS experiences weekly for at least 18 months and complete at least one CAS project lasting a minimum of one month, documenting their learning in a CAS portfolio via ManageBac, and they demonstrate achievement of the seven CAS learning outcomes. Enrichment activities include working in partnership with Griffith University.
QAHS offers Dragon Dance and Knitting for Charity among more than 40 extra-curricular experiences. Dragon Dance provides a performing arts outlet and Knitting for Charity develops craft skills and community‑oriented projects. These artistic activities supplement creative engagement beyond the classroom and align with the Diploma Programme's emphasis on creativity in CAS.
