Broad co-curricular programs complement classroom learning through Debating and Public Speaking, Drama, Music and Outdoor Education. Debating and Public Speaking provide Year 5–12 opportunities with competitions including the Archdale Competition, AHIGS Festival of Speech, Catholic Schools' Debating and Rostrum Voice of Youth. The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is offered to Year 9–12, emphasising physical activity, volunteering and skills across Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. A Careers program supports Year 11–12 students with a Careers Counsellor, profiling assessments, interviews and access to post-school pathways.
Music is central to Santa Sabina College. Students perform in string, brass, woodwind, percussion and vocal ensembles and participate in masses, liturgies and major College events, with regular recitals and international tours such as Italy 2025. The department collaborates with professional partners and venues, including City Recital Hall and Sydney Town Hall, and supports the Sydney Youth Orchestras strings program.
Languages taught include Italian, French, Chinese and Spanish in Years 5–6 at Gioia House, taught by specialist language teachers. In the Secondary Years, Languages include French, Italian and Japanese, with students choosing two languages, one per year.
More than 50 co-curricular activities and clubs are offered. The program includes sport, music, drama and other interests for students to pursue beyond the classroom.
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is available to students and includes Bronze, Silver and Gold levels with a focus on volunteering, physical recreation and skills. Volunteer work experiences are available in Years 10–12 during school holidays. Ex-student mentors and ambassadors provide coaching and guidance as part of the program.
Careers education is an integral part of the College's holistic development, with a Careers Counsellor who supports Year 11 and 12 through transition planning, interviews and access to resources. Year 10 completes a comprehensive Careers Profiling Assessment; Year 12 students have interviews and guidance on courses and career pathways. Lunchtime sessions with guest speakers, ex-student mentors and Beyond Year 12 events connect students with universities and career opportunities.
The Sport program offers a broad range of activities including Athletics, Aquathon, Aussie Rules, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Cross Country, Dance, Football, Futsal, Gymnastics, Hockey, Netball, Rugby Sevens, Snowsports, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Touch Football, Triathlon, Volleyball and Water Polo. The program includes school sporting clubs, Saturday and midweek competitions, gala days, development camps and clinics, and representative opportunities to a national level.
Santa Sabina College is a Catholic Dominican P-12 school in Sydney, educating students from 0 to 18 across Strathfield and the Tallong Outdoor Education Campus. The college delivers the NSW Curriculum in Gioia House (Primary) and offers NSW senior schooling plus the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for Years 11–12. Italian, French, Chinese and Spanish are taught in Years 5–6, with secondary students choosing two languages, including French, Italian and Japanese.
