The Dominican heritage of Santa Sabina College is over 800 years old and informs more than 130 years of local history in Sydney. In 1892, Sisters established a city school in Strathfield. Land was purchased on The Boulevarde on 7 June 1892, and in January 1894 the first students began their lessons. From the beginning, the Sisters shaped the campus and culture, planting trees and establishing a tradition of academic excellence, faith and community that continues to flourish. Today Santa Sabina educates students across expansive campuses in Strathfield and Tallong, offering a contemporary, future‑focused education grounded in faith, scholarship and service, and graduates are encouraged to think critically, act justly and lead with integrity as they carry these values beyond the College gates.
Santa Sabina College is a Catholic independent school in the Dominican tradition. The Dominican Pillars—Prayer, Community, Study and Service—guide life at the College, with community life anchored in assemblies, a buddy program and Year 10 mentors. The College provides opportunities for service, including Caritas fundraising during Lent, SantaFest and the Christmas Hamper Appeal. The Strathfield and Tallong campuses together create a shared community that values faith, scholarship and service in daily life.
The Santa Sabina College Parents & Friends' Association welcomes all to the Santa Sabina community and works to support the life of the College. Through an Executive team and Class/Year Representatives, the P&F provides opportunities to build friendships and contribute to College life while raising funds to enhance College resources. Across campuses, the P&F supports College events and hosts social occasions such as Class morning teas, hospitality for Mother's and Father's Day, Mother's Day Lunch, Mother's and Father's Day Stalls, the Colour Fun Run, Primary Disco and Trivia Night. The P&F also coordinates communication and provides a foundation for parent education and involvement, including donations that aid resource development and projects like robotics equipment for Primary students. For contact, the P&F message is pnf@ssc.nsw.edu.au.
